1.Why All home appliances are connected in parallel with supply voltage?
All Home appliances are connected in the parallel circuit, because they will independent and get full supply voltage across it. As residential supply is 230 V in single phase , their performance will be independent with one another
2.What is the internal resistance inside battery?
When current passes in the circuit, its electrons and positive ions need to travel between positive and negative electrode inside the cell thorugh electrolyte. While it offer considerable resistance to flow the current is called as internal resistance.
3.Why wheatstone bridge widely used to measure resistance?
1. This method is independent to the fluctuation of the supply voltage
2.It provided more accuracy than other method like voltmeter-ammeter method.
4.Why Wheatstone circuits called as bridge?
It called as bridge because , The Galvano meter connected across the junction divide opposite junction of the circuit.
5.What type of grouping cell suitable for higher voltage demand using Cells?
By connecting multiple cells in series connection voltage demand in the circuit can be fulfilled
6.How higher current requirement in the circuit can be fulfilled using cells?
By connecting multiple cells in parallel connection , higher current can be drawn from group of cells.
7. How Higher voltage and Higher current demand can be fulfilled using cells?
By connecting series and parallel connection according to the requirement of the voltage , current , voltage requirement in the circuit can be fulfilled
8. Why other sources are preferred for supply DC voltage than battery?
Because battery and cells are economically costlier and continues replacement is required. So we prefer converter or DC generator to obtain DC supply
9.Is it possible to measure voltage of a cell with voltmeter?
No. It will not be so accurate. When we connect voltmeter across terminal of the cell it shows EMF produced in the cell. if I connect the loan , there will be little bit voltage drop than EMF. because it is due to internal resistance of the battery.
10. When resistance connected across the cell is halved, why current is not exactly doubled?
It is because internal resistance of the cell.
The current supplied by a cell I = E/(R+r)
r- internal resistance plays crucial role in delivering current in the circuit.
